360-Degree camera: India’s automotive industry has seen a rising trend for features to be offered in vehicles. Seeing the consumer demand in the market, India’s leading auto manufacturers have started providing tons of features in their vehicles, whether these are safety features or convenience. Since safety features have seen a boom among vehicles in India, auto manufacturers providing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in mass-segment cars. Earlier auto manufacturers started providing rear cameras for safety purposes while reversing the vehicle, but now there’s a new trend of providing 360-degree cameras, for better driving aids. Here, a camera is fixed at the front, on side Outside Rear View Mirrors, and at the rear to provide a complete 360 view of the vehicle.
Nissan Magnite
The Nissan Magnite is one of the most affordable sub-4m compact SUVs that offers a 360-degree camera in India. The 360-degree camera is offered in the XV variant and is priced at Rs 8.6 lakh (ex-showroom). The camera quality is decent and it provides decent clarity of the outside. At night, this camera quality could have been improvised and provided a lot of grainy views.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Maruti Suzuki Baleno is an entry-level premium hatchback, that offers decent specifications but has a great feature list on offer. Maruti Suzuki Baleno offers a 360-degree camera in its Alpha variant and it is priced at Rs 9.38 lakh (ex-showroom). The camera quality is good in the sunlight but at night as well it provides a decent quality from the camera.
Toyota Glanza
Toyota Glanza shares its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Though the design of the exterior differs from the front, the rear design is similar. The Toyota Glanza offers the same feature list as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Toyota Glanza offers a 360-degree camera in its top variant V and is priced at Rs 9.78 lakh (ex-showroom). The camera quality is similar to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno but could have been better in terms of placement.
